Because of their versatile metabolic characteristics microorganisms are excellently suitable to solve environmental problems in a natural way. So the water quality in ponds and lakes can be improved e.g. by the biological conversion of nitrogen compounds and the degradation of organic sludge sediments, thereby increasing the vitality of the water animals.
Another application for microorganisms is the disposal of bad odours in animal stables and cages, e.g. by reducing the ammonia concentration.
Selected screening methods as well as specialized cultivation methods result in microbial mixed products with customized capabilities and good storage properties.
